SLAC with Terminator

The small laccase belongs to the super family of multi coppur oxidase they catalyze the one-electron oxidation of substrates through associated four-electron reductions of molecular oxygen to water, using four copper ions coordinated in designated copper centers. Their broad phenolic and polyphenolic substrate specificity allows for direct transformation of lignin. The small laccase is a small 229 amino acid protein requiring four copper ions per monomer as cofactors. The protein is a homo trimer. Its function is to oxidize a range of substrates including phenols, aromatic amines, and nonphenolic substrates involved in lignin degradation. The GenBank number is WP_020416648 (amino acid) with a PDB of 3T9W_A.
